About the role
We’re looking for an SEO Strategist who understands that great SEO lives at the intersection of technical execution and editorial judgement — and who can own both.
You’ll work across a mix of WordPress and Astro-based client sites, running technical audits, developing content strategies, and building the kind of compounding organic presence that clients actually notice in their revenue. You’ll communicate directly with clients, which means you need to be able to explain what you’re doing and why it matters without hiding behind jargon.
What you’ll work on
- Technical SEO audits: crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, schema, internal linking
- Keyword research, content gap analysis, and editorial planning
- On-page optimisation across client WordPress and static sites
- Monthly reporting — clear, honest, tied to business outcomes rather than vanity metrics
- Working with the dev team to implement technical recommendations correctly
What we’re looking for
- A strong grasp of technical SEO — you can read a crawl report and know immediately what matters
- Experience building and executing content strategies, not just auditing existing ones
- Comfort in Google Search Console, Ahrefs or Semrush, and GA4
- The ability to write (or edit) well — you don’t need to produce all the content, but you need good instincts
- Direct, confident communication with clients — you should be able to run a strategy call solo
Nice to have
- Experience with structured data / schema markup at implementation level
- Familiarity with headless or Astro-based sites and how SEO differs from traditional WordPress
- Any experience with local SEO or multi-location strategies
How we work
Fully remote, async-first. You’ll own SEO workstreams for multiple clients simultaneously — which means you need to be organised, self-directed, and good at prioritising without being told what to do first. We’ll give you the context, tools, and access. The rest is yours.
